Projeto artístico desenvolvido para o Buddy Baer , selecionado em uma competição promovida pelo Consulado Geral da Alemanha em São Paulo. A proposta vencedora foi criada pelo artista visual e designer gráfico João Montenegro, que desenvolveu o conceito visual do urso a partir de elementos simbólicos e culturais que dialogam com os valores de diversidade, amizade e intercâmbio cultural associados ao projeto Buddy Bär.

Após a seleção do projeto, o artista realizou a pintura do urso em escala real, atualmente instalado na entrada do Consulado Geral da Alemanha em São Paulo, tornando-se parte da paisagem institucional do espaço e um ponto de acolhimento e representação simbólica da cooperação cultural entre Brasil e Alemanha.

Art project developed for the Buddy Bear, selected in an artistic/design competition organized by the German Consulate General in São Paulo. The winning proposal was created by visual artist and graphic designer João Montenegro, who developed the bear’s visual concept based on symbolic and cultural elements that reflect the values of diversity, friendship, and cultural exchange associated with the Buddy Bear project.

After the project was selected, the artist painted the life-sized bear, which is currently installed at the entrance of the German Consulate General in São Paulo. The sculpture has become part of the institution’s visual landscape, serving as a welcoming landmark and a symbolic representation of cultural cooperation between Brazil and Germany.
